Giovanni Pinarello, or “Nani” as his friends call him, was born in Catena di Villorba on the 10th July, 1922 during a difficult post-war period in Italy. He was the eighth of twelve children.

His love for two wheels and an innate gift as an indomitable fighter, led him to pursue a career in cycling. This is the ‘Eroico’ (Heroic) era in cycling:  Coppi, Bartali, Bobet on white roads, difficult, very difficult terrain. But the young Nani immediately attracted attention, winning over 60 races and the tender age of 20 won “la Popolarissima” in Treviso, an important race in the Dilettanti circuit ( a level of racing which opens doors to being a Professional)

In 1952, Giovanni prepares to ride the Giro d’ Italia gain, but at the very last moment, he is required to give his spot to the young Pasqualino Fornara, who had just beenfired from the Fausto Coppi’s Team Bianchi.

Giovanni is disappointed, but his team offers 100,000 pounds to set aside, a considerable sum of money for those times. This money is used to bear the fruit of what shall be the crown of this his dreams: opening a small bike workshop in order to build his own bicycles. We are now in 1953 in Treviso and Cicli Pinarello is born.

Fausto Pinarello also known as ‘FP’

Fausto Pinarello, son of Giovanni begins working in his father’s factory at the tender age of 17.  As they say here in Treviso, he began to immediately breathe “Pane e Copertoni” (Bread and Tires).

Fausto is initially placed in the most difficult step of the production chain, the painting division. It is most likely here he developed the passion for ‘beauty’ in each and every one of his bikes.

In the early years, Fausto lives in the shadow of his father learning the secrets of the trade by watching and learning and at the same time developing entrepreneurial skills, insights into decision making processes and managing the business as a whole.

In the years to follow, the Pinarello factory in Treviso begins to churn out successful models every two years, this marking a decisive growth in the Treviso bike manufacturer’s status in the sector.

The PRINCE Carbon arrives, a model which immediately acclaims the ‘Best Bike in the World’ title.

Then after 2 years, yet another turning point: the world’s first every asymmetrical bike, the DOGMA 60.1, with the global market going crazy over this latest stroke of genius.

The DOGMA with its evolutionary qualities is now the most acclaimed bike in the world, winning more titles that any other bike.

The DOGMA has already claimed 2 x Tour de France victories, a World Championships crown, 1st and 2nd place in the UCI Team Rakings and since its birth, over 300 races in the PRO TOUR circuit.

In 2009, now on his umpteenth intuition, Fausto joins forces with the small newborn Team Sky, who now dominating the cycling world.

Dogma F8 Disk is disk brake version of Dogma F8.

The main characteristics of dogma F8 remain unchanged: we maintained the same geometries and the material, the rigidity and aerodynamics. Braking system has been upgraded to hydraulic disk brakes, in order to increase the braking power, that looks at future technologies. UCI will permit the use of frames with disc brakes in two races of the year 2015 and for the entire 2016 season.

Here is the eighth wonder!

The eighth generation of DOGMA creates a play of words that can become a perfect advertising slogan: The Eighth Dogma … the eighth wonder of the world.

In the past two years, DOGMA 65.1 has been the most titled bike on the planet, winning the Tour de France twice, the World Championship and more than 100 Pro Tour races.

The Dogma 65.1 has been a best seller without precedent for Pinarello and is universally recognized as a benchmark in the world of high end Road Bikes.

Starting from these premises, you can imagine how difficult it was to improve this cult bike.

Pinarello LAB, TEAM SKY and JAGUAR created a working group where everyone brought his decisive contribution.

Team SKY with feedback from its athletes, Jaguar the Aerodynamics concerns CFD and Wind Tunnel testing, Pinarello LAB for cycling part, structural study and design. This synergy brought to light the Dogma F8.

“DOGMA F8 achieves new significant numerical data, but more importantly, maintains the unique driving feeling, which made previous Pinarello Dogma bikes unbeatable. Whoever rides the new F8 DOGMA, will immediately perceive the extraordinary work done by our team, in creating a streamlined and aerodynamic bike without losing the typical characteristics of DOGMA: a powerful and responsive bike for every track. “

Born to tame the Pavè…but not only that. DOGMA K8-S…game changer!

Yes, this product will revolutionize the world of ROAD BIKES, creating a new segment: The REAR SUSPENDED. The DOGMA K8-S

is the result of a specific request of TEAM SKY: to have an innovative frame able to reduce the psycho-physical stress of the athletes, and thus increase the performance in the HELL OF NORTH.

As with the Dogma F8, Pinarello assembled their team of Italian and British engineers, who collaborated to put on the road a bike with well-defined characteristics: vertically compliant yet stiff at the same moment and of course maintaining the weight of a ROAD BIKE. Pinarello designed a lightweight suspension system in combination with the new carbon chain stays, able to flex, in order to create a pivot point for the perfect riding comfort.

DOGMA K8-S  front triangle is similar to the one of DOGMA F8. Geometries are just slightly modified, for better riding on rough terrain, whereas the rear triangle changes, thanks to the new suspension DSS 1.0 (Dogma Suspension System) and new flat chain stays FLEXSTAYS™.

After laboratory tests, which ensured safety and efficiency of the new frame, Pinarello tested the new DOGMA K8-S covering the last 130km of the Paris-Roubaix route, with Sir Bradley Wiggins and Christian Knees.  Over  long and regular cobbles sectors, they performed comparative tests with the previous DOGMA K. Both frames had accelerometers, power meters and GPS instrumentation.

From the whole test campaign they obtained a large amount of data; synthetizing all these, to ease the comparison, the overall performance of Dogma K8S is 4.6% greater than Dogma K 2015, in terms of handling and comfort.

The DOGMA K8-S frame (size 53), complete with suspension, weighs less than 1kg, exactly 990 grams. This is a revolutionary frame, which will open new scenarios in road bike riding and racing.

GAN RS derives directly from the Dogma F8, but several specific solutions make it a less extreme frame, while maintaining intact style and feeling of Pinarello bikes.

The main features are derived from DOGMA F8: asymmetry of the frame, although less extremist than F8, and a new type of high-strength carbon, which is slightly less rigid.

GAN Disk is a good entry level which maintains the peculiarities of DOGMA F8: asymmetry, even if less prominent, and a new high-strength material, although less rigid and performing.
